New Damnation: The Gothic Game Kickstarter launching later in 2020

Followers of Damnation: The Gothic Game will know that we launched an ill fated Kickstarter campaign last Autumn. Well we’ve licked our wounds for long enough. Work is back underway on correcting the mistakes we made during the first campaign and we plan to launch a new campaign later this year. I can’t say exactly when this will be just yet, but as soon as we have a date I’ll share it here.

I’d like to say a huge, huge thank you to everyone who has offered advice and general support over the past 3 months. It’s been difficult, but reading positive messages and seeing people reach out, when they didn’t have to, has been humbling. I feel very lucky.

One of the things I’ve identified as needing improvement is around the transparency of the game’s development. This has been a pretty amazing journey. Over the past four years I’ve created this game, very much learning on the job, making plenty of mistakes along the way! I figure that some people who are either just interested in the process, or are on the journey themselves might find this interesting, or even useful. So I’m going to write about it :)

I’ve developed a new prototype based on the feedback I had from playing the game about a million times at Spiel. I know people who played the game will be interested to know about the changes that have been mades, so the first entry will answer this question.

I’ll be posting these entries to the Board Game Geek website also, so if you have any questions you’d like to ask, or comments then please get in touch with me on there:
